The award for the honest politician of the day goes to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran.

BBC reports: Addressing the General Assembly in New York, Mr Ahmadinejad also accused the US and Nato of being "aggressors" in Iraq and Afghanistan, and of starting wars "in order to win votes in elections".
