What's with these foreign tummies?!?

Am sure the title of this post is weird!! What I am thinking of is this: There are a few foreigners, Canadians to be precise, in my office on a short visit. Every one of them got sick after coming to India. They have a case of acute diarrhea. We have been living in India all our lives. But we dont seem to be getting any of this often. Are third-world tummies stronger?!? or are these ppl living in such sterile environments dat they cant tolerate Indian atmosphere?!?Even when we go abroad and have their food, we dont get sick like this!!

This surprises me!! are all of them so fragile?!? poor them!!

hmm now where do we start
1. imports into most foreign countries (esp Europe) have a very high standard even for the fertilizers used, preservatives..

2. shelf life is just right and once the product has lost even the least freshness, its discarded.

3. more use of organic materials. like for eg. take eggs, there are many varieties
- normal, where the hen is fed normal diet and does not move around
- hen is fed normal food and is allowed to run freely (healthier hen)
- hen is fed organic food and is allowed to run freely

4. rarely deep fried.

5. the air

6. the air

7. the air.. :)

I believe that, it is a difference only with the environment and the lifestyle. After all we all are Homosapiens

We as Indians have little polluted.. little untreated environment. Whereas the foreigners have a very friendly and clean environment, clean air and surroundings.. which totally makes their immune system hopeless rather helpless..

But when it comes to Indians we are so much accustomed with this environment and our immune system is at its peak!! seriously many bacterials we consider harmless is considers mild to major in most foregin.

We will know why and how they suffer only if we go to any African countries.. the the env is totally different!! and the ppls immune system is very much high!!
